Our Sessions

Life doesn’t come with a manual and even if it did, it’d probably be missing half the pages and written in riddles. That’s where counselling comes in. I offer a calm, confidential space to explore what’s going on whether you’re feeling anxious, stuck, overwhelmed, or weighed down by past experiences. Based in East Tilbury, Thurrock, I provide both in-person counselling in Essex and online therapy across the UK.

I’m a BA (Hons) qualified integrative counsellor with over 10 years of experience supporting adults, teenagers (12+), and young people with a wide range of emotional and mental health challenges. My approach is warm, down-to-earth, and rooted in evidence-based therapies such as:

  • Person-centred counselling– a space that’s all about you, without judgement
  • Attachment-focused therapy– exploring how early relationships impact how you feel and relate today
  • CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy)– practical ways to ease anxiety and unhelpful thinking patterns
  • DBT-informed skills– building tools to manage overwhelming emotions, reduce reactivity, and stay grounded in the present
  • Solution-Focused Therapy– helping you identify your strengths and move towards your goals, one small step at a time
  • Transactional Analysis (TA)– understanding patterns in how you think, feel and communicate, and finding healthier ways to relate to yourself and others
  • Psychodynamic insight– understanding deeper emotional patterns that might still be shaping your life

This integrative approach allows us to tailor each 50 minute session to your unique needs, whether you’re dealing with relationship issues, anxiety, low self-esteem, or simply feeling like you’ve lost your way.

Worried you’ll turn up and not know where to start? That’s incredibly common and absolutely okay.

You don’t need to have all the words. Part of my role is helping you find them. I’ve got plenty of creative tools and gentle techniques to help you express what’s going on, even when it feels tangled or hard to describe. Whether that’s through imagery, metaphors, or guided exploration, we’ll find a way that feels safe and right for you.

Your first full counselling session lasts 50 minutes and is a gentle introduction to working together. You don’t need to come with a script. Whether you have a clear reason for seeking support or just a sense that something isn’t right, we’ll take time to talk it through. You can share as much or as little as feels comfortable. If you’re not sure where to begin, I’ll help guide you and if needed, I have plenty of creative ways to help you express yourself without pressure.

It’s completely normal to feel unsure at first. Counselling is a process, and we go at your pace.

Whether you’re looking for face-to-face therapy in East Tilbury or the flexibility of online or telephone counselling, sessions are designed to work around you.

  • In-person counselling in East Tilbury, Thurrock (Essex) – a quiet, comfortable space to focus on your wellbeing
  • Online counselling across the UK – secure, confidential sessions from the comfort of home
  • Telephone counselling UK-wide – ideal if you prefer voice-only support or have limited internet access

You might not have the words for what’s going on right now, and that’s okay. Many of my clients come to therapy feeling overwhelmed, unsure, or just… stuck.

Here are some of the most common reasons people reach out to me for counselling:

  • Anxiety and overthinking that just won’t switch off
  • Relationship issues, including attachment difficulties and boundary challenges
  • Feeling stuck or lost in life, with no clear way forward
  • Low mood or depression that’s hard to shake
  • Grief and loss that feels heavy to carry alone
  • Addiction and unhealthy coping patterns
  • Low self-esteem and lack of confidence

If any of these sound familiar with you, you’re not alone and you don’t have to work through it by yourself.

Counselling isn’t about fixing you, because you’re not broken. It’s about offering support, insight, and a fresh perspective so you can understand your story, process your emotions, and feel more
grounded in who you are.

Together, we’ll explore what’s holding you back, reconnect with your inner strengths, and build new ways forward.

  • Understand the roots of anxiety and reduce overwhelm
  • Let go of self-blame and develop self-compassion
  • Improve communication and relationship dynamics
  • Set healthy boundaries without guilt
  • Rebuild confidence and trust in yourself
  • Break free from cycles of people-pleasing, overthinking, or emotional burnout

You don’t need to have it all figured out. If you’re feeling anxious, low, disconnected, or simply unsure where to start, counselling can help.
